DEI’s Authoritarian Template: Download and Distribute
What happens in DEI “trainings”? How are they set up, who runs them, what’s the theme and substance?
DEI training sessions are usually conducted by facilitators or off-campus “diversity experts” and employ the formula used by extremist religious cults and by totalitarian regimes. I cite here the phenomenal work of Polish philosopher and dissident Michal Glowinski, who lived under the Soviet occupation of Poland as a persecuted dissident intellectual.
Glowinski has written extensively on the methods used by totalitarian regimes to control the populace. The techniques have been refined over many decades and serve as the model for authoritarian regimes and extremes religious cults.
They are also deployed in DEI’s racialist workshops that bear euphemistic labels such as “difficult dialogues,” “courageous conversations,” “racial caucuses,” “intergroup dialogues,” “brave spaces,” and such like.
Dr. Glowinski’s template is adapted for use here. The word “totalitarian” has been replaced by “diversity” and could just as well have been replaced by “religious cult.”
